16,000 individuals in Monongalia County are food insecure; the funds raised at this event help support agencies and organizations providing direct services to help combat food insecurity.

The 2023 Soup & Bread Luncheon has been cancelled. Please see the Letter from the Board. We look forward to serving the community at the 2024 Soup and Bread Luncheon.

 

We look forward to returning to our traditional luncheon format in 2024. A variety of soup, bread, and cookies donated by local restaurants make for a delicious afternoon. Served cafeteria-style, you are welcome to All You Can Eat. Have a tasty lunch, visit with friends, and support our community. In addition to lunch, attendees also get to choose a ceramic bowl to remember the event.

Tickets

Tickets will be available prior to the event and at the door on the day of the event. Local retail partners will also sponsor remote ticket sales at their locations.

Volunteer

Interested in a volunteer position?

Without volunteers like you, our annual Soup and Bread Luncheon could not happen. It takes over 500 individual volunteers of all skill levels and backgrounds to make it a success. We have a place for you!

The Luncheon is held on the last Saturday in February each year.
