Paint a Bowl!

DSC_6823.JPG

How can you help paint bowls?

Looking for a team building event, date night, girls night out, or just a simple way to relax and give back? Empty Bowls Monongalia would love to help!

Each year, our Soup and Bread Luncheon requires approximately 1500 ceramic and pottery bowls. Attendees of the luncheon are permitted to pick out a bowl to take home. This bowl serves as a reminder that while their bowl may be full, others in the community may not be so lucky.

Where do these bowls come from?

The majority of the bowls are painted ceramic bowls. We are proud to be affiliated with The WOW! Factory, 3453 University Avenue in Star City, 304-599-2969 who provide the bowls, paint, and firing for a mere $7 per bowl. Visit The Wow! Factory

Can I paint one? You can!

Everyone is welcome to paint a bowl (or more than one). Just head to The WOW! Factory and tell them you’d like to paint a bowl for Empty Bowls. You're welcome to walk-in any time, no appointment necessary. For a small fee, you can paint a bowl, then it will be fired and delivered to Empty Bowls for the next Luncheon. While you’re at it, you can even purchase and paint another item for yourself. It’s lots of fun and a great creative outlet.
