Giving Tuesday is a decade old philanthropic movement based upon the philosophy of Radical Generosity. This is a concept that believes the suffering of others should be as intolerable to us as our own suffering.
The movement started in New York City in 2012 at the 92nd Street YMCA. Since then, Giving Tuesday has circled the globe and is celebrated by millions of people in 75 different countries around the world.
The event is held each year the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This year’s celebration will take place on November 29th, 2022. Please watch our Facebook page for updates as we get closer to this year’s date. It is a wonderful way to spread love and generosity throughout our community.
This year our goal is to raise $5,000. These funds will be used to provide ongoing financial
support to our partnership network. This coalition of 24 agencies tirelessly provide direct relief to those threatened by hunger throughout our region.
